Privacy Policy for TillPrice

TillPrice ("we", "our", "the app") is a Shopify application built by Mikkel Friis-Olsen to let merchants set separate Point of Sale (POS) and online prices for their products.

Information we collect

When you install TillPrice, we store the following in our own systems:

• Your shop's domain and a Shopify access token, used to authenticate requests to your store on your behalf.
• A log of changes made in the app: each change to a POS price or to the app's settings, with the product variant, the old and new value, the time of the change, and the Shopify staff user ID (a number, not a name or an email address) of the person who made it.

The POS prices you set are stored as metafields directly in your own Shopify store's product data. We access this data through the Shopify API to read and display it, and to write the prices you enter. Apart from the change log described above, we do not keep a separate copy of your POS prices.

Your active TillPrice subscription plan is checked with Shopify at the time it is needed; we do not separately store your plan.

We do not request access to, and do not collect, your customers' personal information (such as names, addresses, emails, or order history). TillPrice only requests permission to read and write product data.

Legal basis for processing

We process this information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the functionality of the TillPrice app), and because of our legitimate interest in operating, maintaining, and securing the service.

How we use this information

This information is used solely to operate the app: to show the correct POS price at your point of sale, to enforce the limits of your chosen plan, to keep your app session active, and to keep a record of price changes so that they can be traced if there is ever a question about when or by whom a price was changed. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored

The shop domain, access token and change log we store are held on servers located in the European Union (Amsterdam, Netherlands), operated by our hosting provider, Railway. Your POS prices remain in your own Shopify store at all times.

Data retention and deletion

If you uninstall TillPrice, your shop's stored data (domain, access token and change log) is deleted from our database within 30 days. You may also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at villadsfriisolsen@icloud.com.

Mandatory privacy webhooks

TillPrice implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customer data request, customer redaction, shop redaction). Because we do not store any customer personal data, requests to these webhooks are acknowledged with no customer data to return or delete.

Your rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about your shop. Contact us at villadsfriisolsen@icloud.com to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority; in Denmark, this is Datatilsynet (www.datatilsynet.dk).

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
